Racha Noi Bay – Description
Racha Noi Bay dive site is situated on the east side of Koh Racha Noi, very close to the renowned and amazing dive site called South Tip. As it can be seen on the map and aerial photos, Racha Noi Bay is characterized a white sandy beach with a sand stripe that during low tide extends to a small islet surrounded by a rocky reef. This is usually a drift dive around the outer side of the rocky islet, with direction based on the actual current conditions. It always seems to have crystal clear water and incredibly white sand that makes it visually stunning above the water and when gliding over it during the dive. The depth on the outside of the rocky islet reaches over 30 meters. While drifting on the outside, divers must be focused as when the currents are strong they will push directly to the south and it can take them for a long ride. Racha Noi Bay offers some of the best drift diving among all the Racha Islands Dive Sites. For what concerns the marine life, besides the usual abundance of tropical reef fish, Racha Noi Bay also offers chances to spot large pelagic including our beloved manta rays.
